Description of 1950 GMC Other

1950 GMC 100 Pickup Nicely restored Red/Black GMC 100! Rarer than a Chevrolet! Fitted with correct 216ci Inline 6 and 3-speed column-shift manual! Ready for parades! When Chevrolet introduced the Advance Design trucks in late June of 1947. they brought to the table a truck that was bigger. better and more powerful than ever before. Their first post-war redesign. the Advance Design trucks immediately became a sales success and took the production crown every year of their lifespan until 1955. when the newest Task Force trucks were introduced. Produced in five different configurations with a host of payload options and two wheelbases. the truck was also rebranded as a GMC and sold all over the country. They remain popular today for their classic good looks. ease of maintenance and overall affordability! We are very excited to offer this 1950 GMC 100 pickup! This restored truck has been finished in a beautiful shade of Victory Red with black running boards! The interior is done in a classic shade of Black vinyl. The truck is fitted with a correct style 216ci Inline 6 with Zenith 961 carburetor mated to a three-speed manual transmission! Other options include GMC heater. dual side-view mirrors. turn signals. tinted glass. courtesy light. dual visors. rubber floor mat. fresh wood bed. glove box light and more! The truck rides on polished “GMC” hubcaps with 6. 00-16 Firestone Deluxe Champion gum-dipped whitewall tires! The truck shows 4. 90 miles since an extensive cosmetic restoration that included all paint and chrome. as well as interior and wood. Underneath. the truck’s chassis & some suspension components were hand painted with a POR-15 rust preventative treatment. The truck fires immediately. with a nice torquey power band and seamless gear changes. Many original spot welds in the engine bay and on the tailgate can be found. assuring that the truck was incredibly well kept over its lifespan. We have a former Ohio title from 1987 with an odometer statement of only 32. 71 miles. so it is likely the odometer was reset at the time of restoration. The truck is surviving most recently from Missouri and is ready for both work and parades. We would invite you to call with any additional questions! Thanks for looking!
