Description of 1970 GMC Sierra 1500 Pro Touring Candidate

This 70' GMC Short Wheelbase Step Side is in need of a restoration, but could be done a little at a time and drive it like a Ratrod. This is a straight 6cyl with a manual transmission (three on the tree). The truck has been driven around a fair amount and have not had any issues. This truck has a lot of potential. Most of the sheetmetal will need repair or replacement. The floor pans and hood are in decent shape.
You can do things like add a 88-98 stepside bed for cheap and get all of the cab sheet metal from LMC. There are some many resources out there and you can easily drop in a modern 5.3L V8 from a salvage yard and create yourself a pro touring restomod.
The previous owner has done maintenance replacements like a new radiator, brake lines, lternator, an clutch, 1" A/T Nexen Tires, hocks, ptima battery. Most of the gauges work. I wouldn't fly in and drive out, ut seems to run pretty well.
