This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION!

1959 GMC 350 Spartan 2 ½ Ton Truck

I recently bought this truck from a builder in Colorado and just got the news of a little one on the way. This, f course, s a less than ideal toy with a baby so off it must go. Because I have only had it a short time, am going to give you all of the information I get from the builder.

-383 STROKER Engine

-4 Barrel Edlebrock with Heavy Cam

-Electric Fan

-Factory PTO, owever the builder removed the hydraulic pump before shipping it to me

-Front tires almost new and rears have tons of life left

-All glass is good, o cracks

-All Fluids New

-All Lights New and Rewired throughout, ll Work Perfectly

-4 Speed manual Transmission with 2 Speed Solenoid Shift Rear End

The seat has been reupholstered and just needs a good scrubbing to look new. The body is a bit dented up and has some rust in the cab corners and lower doors. Other than those two spots, he truck is extremely solid. The paint is new, hey just didn't do the body work.

I really liked the idea of a BIG Rat Rod, hop truck, ar hauler or just a custom flatbed. I just recently had it registered in Michigan and I was able to plate it as a historical vehicle. That of course means that you only have to pay the registration fee once. ONE TIME, VER! The Insurance is also much lower. Another thing to note is that I changed the official vehicle category with the State from a dump truck to a Stake Truck. The lady at the SOS said that it would save me a few bucks.

Since I've had the truck, just recently took it to my local AC Delco shop and had breaks overhauled, ew starter, arb adjusted, lugs cleaned, iming adjusted and tuned up.

Now, n to the unfortunate part. As I said, 'm selling this due to a baby being on the way and had it listed for sale locally. Some guy came and test drove it, ut had no clue on how to drive a truck with a 2-speed rear end and broke the darn thing. The ring and pinion gears are fine, t's the gear that changes the rear end between high and low gears is what broke. I've got quotes from two locals shops here and both were under $365 ($285 & $362) to fix it. The gear costs next to nothing, nd is still readily available, o it's really the labor that is going to cost the majority of the $365 to get it fixed. Heck, f you can fix it yourself, t won't be a costly repair at all. Because of this, he truck is not drivable until the rear end gets fixed. Whoever buys it will have to get it towed or hauled to them. MAKE NO MISTAKE The truck DOES start, un, dle, o in and out of all four gears and reverse great, t's just not drivable because that turd screwed up the rear end on the test drive.
