The rareGMC Typhoonis a high-performance version of theGMC JimmySUVproducing 285hp. There were only 2200 Typhoons manufactured in 1993. TheGMC Typhoon featured a Mitsubishi TD06-17C/8cm2turbochargerandGarrettWater/Airintercoolerattached to a 4.3LLB4V6intake manifolds, uel system, xhaust manifolds, nd a 48mm twin-bore throttle body from the 5.7LGM Small-Block engine. All Typhoons had a 700r4 4-speedautomatic transmissionand aBorgWarner4472 transfer case splitting torque with 35% forward and 65% to the rear wheels. The Typhoon featuresall-wheel drive, pgraded brakes, nd sport modifications to the standard suspensions. The Typhoon also features an air-operatedself-leveling rear suspension.
