Description of 1977 GMC Other

1977 GMC. Short Bed. 2wd. This truck has 86000 original miles on it. I bought it from Price City in Utah. The truck comes with all the maintenance Records. Look at the pictures to see where it has had a new GM Crate Motor. The truck was well Maintained as you can see from the records. I did not buy the truck to resell it. however after 10 years my shop/ storage was sold to the oil refinery next door. So I am forced to down size. Things I have done to the truck. Dents fixed with fiberglass or metal. and final finished with filler. Saved the Door handles and the mirrors. patched with metal. Sanded and painted with POR 15. Newer Seat. Newer Dash. New Battery. New belt. New Radiator. only because someone stole the old one. new upper and lower radiator hoses. I was going for a smooth look. hence the shaved door handles and Mirrors I was going to lower it. with some nice rims and tires. The doors where going to get Automatic poppers. 125. 00 dollars from the truck magazines or cheaper from eBay. POR15 is the worlds most effective rust preventive paint. It is expensive and I have used it on several restorations. After applying it I was going to sand with 600 then 800 and apply a flat clear. I have done this many times before and it leaves you with a great flat finish and a vehicle that will NEVER rust out. ( If any of you out there do this make sure to wait 2 moths for the POR 15 to completely cur. other wise you will have cracking when you paint over it. ) The Cur time has passed on this truck so you do not need to worry about that. The truck starts right up and runs great. has good power and is smooth. It shifts through all the gears nicely. It is a four speed with the granny low first gear. The truck can be trusted to drive anywhere. with the exception of the tires. They would need to be replaced before it took a long trip. They are fine for short distances. I just drove it 50 miles to my uncles farm to store it and it ran perfect. As a side note the truck gets good gas mileage for a truck of this time frame. I am not sure exactly how good but I put 20 dollars in it and drove it 50 miles and the needle only moved slightly. The truck still needs new Door panels and window rollers. every thing else seems to work and is present. The frame has only surface rust. no rust through. Contact me with any questions. The reserve price is set very. very low as this must sell. Thanks and good luck.
