Description of 1968 GMC C10

This is the kind of truck to get excited about. Every inch of this 1968 GMC 1500 C10 pickup has been gone over to give it a fantastic presence on the street. From the supercharged big block V8 power, to the appearance of the mirror black paint, to the control of four-wheel disc brakes it's a true custom with an undeniable presence. When your paint is as slick as this one, you don't need much chrome. The light shines off of this GMC like they made black mirrors, so places like the grille, front bumper, and door handles have been expertly covered this paint, too. The full effect is a truck that can lurk in the shadows. Of course it wouldn't be able to pull of this slippery midnight appearance if it were not for the exceptionally straight sheetmetal that has been given a serious investment in erasing decades as a workhorse. But its functional history has not been completely erased. There is a real wood truck bed that gives a nod to where this GMC started out in life. But the tidy lumber has also been finished so it has the same kind of gloss as the rest of the pickup. Finished off with large 18-inch Cragar wheels, and this pickup has true distinction. The red interior looks awesome, especially when viewing it through the vivid black exterior paint. The leather seat is borrowed from a late model GM vehicle, so you get modern bolstering and modern comfort. Plus, with a foldable armrest you get the choice of seating three or folding it down for individual comfort. With all the red on the carpet, door panels, headliner, and dash, you would swear this GMC is out for blood. Then again, it just might be with its custom sports steering wheel and full gauge package that includes a tach and auxiliary readouts under the dash. But this mean machine is also out to keep you happy, and that's why it has great upgrades like an Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo system and ice-cold air conditioning.Grab some sunglasses before popping the hood. Just in case a 454 cubic-inch big block wasn't enough for you, this one has been bored .30 over. Still not enough? That why this extreme machine also has a B&M supercharger on top. The serious power machine inhales deeply through a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and exhales with authority out of long tube headers. This one even has electric cutouts on the dual exhaust, so you can really scare off lesser vehicles with your rumble. But as you've seen in this build already, there's more here than just about being a mean machine. For example, there's an aluminum radiator w/dual electric fans so everything stays cool even when you're in traffic with the A/C running. Plus, the four-link coilover rear suspension with stabilizer bar offers a far superior ride and keeps the rear wheels connected to the ground when you want to really lay down your massive power. The power steering, four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, and upgraded four-wheel disc brakes finish off a package that gives you a great anytime classic cruiser. This custom GMC looks mean inside and out. But from behind the wheel, you can tell a lot more thought when into this custom that just an all-out street brawler. We've even got the build receipts to show you how carefully this vintage truck has been crafted. The kind of time, effort, and investment that went into this pickup means the first one to snatch it up is getting one heck of a deal. Call today!!!
