Description of 1992 GMC Sierra 1500

For Sale: 1992 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 Truck. Everything works except AC is not hooked up but could be added. Condenser and evaporator as well as wiring are all still there just need to add a compressor. The engine is a 1995 Cummins 4BT 3. 9L Diesel with an HC1 Turbo out of a bread truck. The engine has the coveted Bosch P7100 inline injection pump known for it's reliability and ease of power increase. The engine was just recently installed and I realized I need more power to tow the trailers that I have up the steep Colorado mountain passes that we encounter. This truck is just as powerful as the original 350 gas engine that was in the truck but get's 18-25 MPG. I would estimate that it’s currently producing around 150-180hp and 350 lb/ft of torque. This is a really nice setup and the engine runs really well. 4 wheel drive works great through the stock NP241 transfer case with Hi and Low 4 wheel drive options. Tires are very high quality 10 ply tires with 50% tread remaining. Stock GM NV4500 manual 5 speed transmission with brand new clutch disc. hydraulic clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. throwout bearing and pilot bearing. front and rear main seals are new. 1 new front axle assembly installed and another that will go with the truck as PM. new idler arm and alignment adjusted last year. new thermostat and radiator as well as a high volume electric radiator fan. and a brand new Bosch 120 amp alternator. Class 3 trailer hitch and 4 pin flat wiring harness as well as wires run for brake controller and aux power if you wanted to add a 6 or 7 pin round plug. Has a Posi-lok front differential locker so you can engage the front hubs manually and independently of the transfer case. Please ask questions. This truck is a very reliable and safe truck but is rough around the edges and definitely built for practical reliability and not as a show piece. I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere. I have personally driven it from Tennessee. to Colorado to California to Maine and back to Colorado with no issues. Engine alone was $3000. 00
