Description of 1953 GMC Other

This is a No Reserve auction for my 1953 GMC 5-Window Pickup with power steering. power brakes. aluminum fuel cell gas tank at rear of truck. 350 V8 small block Chevy engine. automatic transmission. transmission cooler. electronic ignition. Rochester-Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor. new brake-booster and brakes. new water pump. new battery. new exhaust and muffler. new mini high-torque starter. new aluminum radiator. Engine runs strong with lots of power. All windows and molding are good. glass is all intact. Fulton truck visor. Interior is clean. includes ceiling and door panels. real mule deer antler installed on shifter. trap hanging from rear-view mirror included. Body is clean. solid cab floor. truck primered in flat black. pressure treated wood in bed. All the hard work has been completed. Makes for a great rat rod or potential for a full restoration. There are some miscellaneous parts also included in the sale. Clear Florida title in my name. Please keep in mind this is a 62 year old truck so please ask questions. Please note that the Florida and New Mexico tags installed on the doors will not be included. Thank you for looking and best regards! Some follow-up information as I am receiving lots of questions regarding how clean the truck is. if it’s road-worthy and why am I selling it. My immediate intentions were to leave it with its current semi rat rod look and possibly add some American Racing Outlaw or Centerline rims but I currently have to many projects including two 1940’s Chevrolet trucks and am not dedicating the time this truck deserves so I’ve decided to sell it. The truck is very clean for a 62 year old truck which is the reason I purchased it. The truck is not perfect but the body is very clean and straight. I’m sure there may be filler in some areas but there are no rust spots or major rust damage on the truck. The pictures I’ve listed speak for themselves as all wheel wells and doors look clean. Except for some minor mechanical work and the new line items I have listed. I haven’t done much to the truck. The engine runs extremely strong and has quite a bit of power for such a light truck. The engine may have a slight cam and sounds really nice. The stamp on the intake manifold reads GM K6 14007376 which per the net specifies a true Chevrolet 350 small block from either a 1979 Camaro or Corvette engine. The truck is definitely road-worthy but things it could use at some point are front coil springs as they have been shaved and makes the ride a little rough. aftermarket gauges as the present ones don’t work and fixing the wiper system. Other than that. the truck is solid and a great starting point to either leave in its current condition and drive while you update or fully restore. If I’ve missed anything please ask and thank you for looking.
