Description of 1937 GMC Other CABOVER

FEEL FREE TO MAKE AN OFFER AND I CAN SELL IT EARLY AT ANYTIME. I CAN SPEAK ON THE PHONE IF YOU PREFER. JUST SEND YOUR NUMBER. 1937 GMC COE TRUCKThis is a neat old cab over GMC truck. only being registered by the original owner. It has had three total owners. including me. Clear title. issued in 1954. Old COE trucks are becoming somewhat rare to find. especially one from the 30's. This truck is all steel. with no wood frame work. These COE's make nice rod projects and can be fixed up in a variety of ways. People put flatbeds. ramp bodies. and rollbacks on them. Regular pickup boxes from the era look really neat too. I've seen custom crew cabs built out of them and suburbans/panels too. I have a picture link with more pics of this truck and other custom trucks to give you an idea of the potential. Here are all the details on the truck. I have a lot of experience shipping vehicles and can help with that process. I can email a link with more pics. just ask. MECHANICALThis truck looks to have the original engine. which is an oldmobile inline six cylinder. It was common for GMC to use engines from other GM lines. Manual 4-speed transmission. Drivetrain is complete but non running. It could run with some work. but I don't know. The truck steers and tires hold air. Some other original wheels are included if you want them. BODYThe body is in nice shape for a project this old. No bondo. One repaint. The truck looks to have been army green originally. and could have been a military vehicle. It was painted red with white pinstripes at one point and I was told it was a budweiser truck. Drivers fender has some rust. Probably easy for a bodyman to fix but a pickup donor fender would make it easier possibly. Passenger fender has no rust. Cab has a few small rust spots in the back. It looks like there may have been a trim piece that went around the back of the cab possibly that held dirt/moisture in. It looks like you could weld them up with a wire feed really. Drip rails above doors have rust. The cab is not rusty there though so you could delete the rails easily or make new ones. No other rust through. The floors on each side had a removeable flat floor insert where your feet would sit. Those are gone. They will be very easy for anyone to replace and are just flat sheet metal. The body is really complete and solid for a '37. Original seats and springs are in it. Gauges. vin/data tag. and exterior GMC tag are on it. Headlights are pretty neat. Grill bars are just rectangle tubing and the grille shell has slots for the bars. They were never part of the shell. so they will be easy to repair/replace. INTERIORThe interior appears all original. Seat springs are included. Seat spring supports were plywood and are pretty much gone. OVERALLA solid old COE to start with for your project. These COE trucks get tons of attention at the car shows. Below are some other neat coe's so you can see the potential. Also below is a super rare beer truck. You could build a clone of that but have a motorhome? Thanks and happy bidding. Sold as-is.
