Description of 1971 GMC Sierra 1500

Take some time to check out all the custom details of this 1971 GMC C10. But don't linger too long, because with the terrific paint, custom A/C interior, and modern fuel-injected V8 providing some serious power, this truck will be hauling out soon.
How do you get a workhorse pickup to look this amazingly straight? Simple, invest a ton of money in new panels, like the entire bed, cab corners, inner & outer fenders, hood, and floor pans. And since you've spent so much on the body, you need to make sure to invest in a great professional application of a modern paint. That way the modern dark metallic blue can radiate how crisp the whole presentation is every time the sunlight hits this classic GMC. And that's far from the only big investments on this pickup. You know there was plenty left in the budget for brightwork because, that whole front end has a 10,000-watt smile. And those large 20-inch Ridler wheels do a great job of announcing this pickup's custom nature even from across a show field.
Inside, you get a tasteful tobacco brown bench seat with comfortable cloth inserts. This color coordinates nicely with the exterior blue, and you see that perfectly on the door with crisp brown panels. You get a nice wood and chrome sports steering wheel. Beyond that is one of the most handsome full gauge packages we have ever seen in a truck courtesy of Classic Instruments. This pickup is about offering plenty of upgrades within its vintage appeal. So while the dash looks stock, it has all the right upgrades. This includes the retrosound radio that provides a digital AM/FM tuner and aux input for modern music players. Plus, you have ice-cold air conditioning running R134a.
While there are plenty of interesting custom components on the interior and exterior that will draw a crowd, we're willing to bet the engine bay is what really brings them all to you. That's a late model 6.0-liter Vortec MAX V8, and it has been so expertly installed that it looks like could have been in here since day one. It's the kind of OHV multi-port fuel-injected motor that powers some of your favorite more modern GM trucks and SUVs. And because it's the MAX version, it is the Cadillac-spec unit that features high-compression (10:1) flat-top pistons. There have been even further upgrades, including a mild cam and ceramic-coated Doug Thorley long tube headers. What that means in practical terms is a vintage truck that fires up easily, idles smoothly, and has one of the strongest powerbands you'll ever experience. Plus, the modern 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive has been installed, too. That means this C10 feels like it's always in the ideal gear whether you're in the passing lane or cruising down the highway. The long-haul likeability in this classic is further enhanced by new suspension components, including urethane bushings and a thick sway bar (just check out how clean everything is in the undercarriage photos!) Add in power steering, upgraded four-wheel disc brakes, and the trailing arm rear suspension that made these C10s famously easy riders, and you've got a total package that's truly a superior classic pickup.
With barely 8,000 miles on the whole build, this truck has a real aura of authority at first glance, and provides true comfort and power from behind the wheel. It's the classic GMC that leaves you wanting for nothing, and it leaves everyone else in your wake. Don't miss out, call today!
