This is a great truck with modern motor and transmission from 98 Suburban. 350 TBI, 400 4spd transmission, and High/Low range transfer case. This was an original factory A/C truck and thus has all of that system in place, but needs to be re-worked to function. In addition to the motor/transmission conversion, front and rear Dana 60 transaxles with front locking hubs were fitted. Professionally lifted 8 inches running almost new IROK 38" tires on "Camper Special" steel wheels. The body is original, the interior has not been abused or cut on, only minimal surface corrosion, but zero rust through- very rare. All gauges, lights, hi/lo beam, turn signals, wipers/fluid, bed light, brake lights, heater/fan work as they should, everything is in order, needs nothing. Drives straight down the highway @ 70 +. Recent work includes new harmonic balance, new front engine seal, new rebuilt steering box, drive shafts and u-joints, brakes, suspension bushings, all synthetic oils including transmission, differentials, and motor. Transfer case was lowered to correct standards and angle of rear diff was measured and welded to accommodate higher angles. The engine has headers and new exhaust. Original (non-working) AM radio, new dash, carpet, window seals/ felt, windshield and bumpers. All other glass is original. Comes with the original steering wheel, all trim is original. Does need parking brake cable to be re-run. Paint if you want to, but patina is in. Open to hearing your best offer but not interested in wasting time, so serious inquiries, please. |
