This awesome panel truck is now 'loads of fun' compared to it's previous life as a Laundry Truck! With an LS under the hood you can find new meaning to the term 'spin cycle'. A spin around the block, spinning the tires, a few donuts.....all things that could be accomplished in this truck if you so choose.
As simple as this truck may look, a whole lot of work was done to it in order for it to look this good. The tasteful build was done in about a 2 year period. Starting with the exterior, new front and rear doors were sourced from a donor, and new front fenders were added before the black paint was applied. The frame was sandblasted and powder coated black before the body was placed back on it. If you look closely at the exterior, you'll see that although it is all black, different finishes and slightly different variances of black were used. The parts that would've been originally chrome, or white from the factory are now finished in a textured black paint. The roof has been painted in a matte black color, while the rest of the truck is finished in gloss black. Five spoke Foose wheels also finished in black help round out the exterior styling, while letterbox style tailpipes add a pop of chrome to the side profile.
Inside the truck are modern, supportive bucket seats, and a bench seat - all are custom upholstered. Dakota Digital gauges have been added to the dashboard as well as the familiar Vintage Air controls for the Vintage Air system. A utility-style floor mat is mounted at the front of the truck, giving a reminder of its Laundry Truck days. The back of the truck is finished in custom wood slat flooring and the rear side walls have been finished in truck bed liner.
The heart of this sinister looking custom is a LS2 6.0L V8 transplanted from a Yukon Denali that had been crashed. The odometer on the Yukon read approximately 15k when the engine was taken out. A Performance Systems Integration wiring kit helps make the engine swap possible in this sleek truck. A Moser 9" rear end helps handle transfering power to the pavement while gear selection is handled by a 4L80E automatic transmission.
See what the 'spin cycle' is all about in this awesome, vintage GMC. A fresh build with an LS swap, custom paint, and custom interior mean this is more than just an appliance for getting around. This professionally built show truck is guaranteed to make some heads spin at shows or in your neighborhood. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors. About Garage Kept Motors

Garage Kept Motors, LLC specializes in classic and specialty online auto sales.

For our consignors, we are the only auto brokers that offer a Transparent Sale Disclosure. This means, when a car sells, we provide an exact copy of the Bill of Sale. We do this so our clients know exactly who bought their car, where it went, and most importantly how much we sold it for. No funny business.

For our buyers, our vehicles are listed on the Internet, with over 100 photos, including undercarriage pictures, and walk-around videos of the vehicles running plus a narrative-style write-up of the cars history and features. Our international exposure allows us to sell cars across the globe, and we sell a majority of them out of state and overseas. We deliver honesty and consistency in our photos and descriptions, a “no surprise” approach, so buyers, both near and far, can invest with confidence sight unseen. We are not a gallery. Vehicles can be seen locally by appointment as potential buyers are given our undivided attention.
