Description of 1990 GMC Safari

Slightly customized 1990 GMC/Chevy Safari. 68. 00 original miles. AC. Power Steering. Power brakes. Heavy duty overrider shock absorbers. Always run on Mobile oil “new” tires with 1500 miles. metallic silver paint with 6 coats clear. (but needs some body work now from sitting and as described). new spare tire never used. chrome bumpers. Blacked out front grill. Custom clear front turn signals with yellow/amber LEDs. Rear LED turn & stop lights. high back front seats with storage underneath. carpeted center divider with lockable door. power locks on all four doors. custom GMC wheels. rearview camera and monitor. After market transmission cooler. After marker headlight glass with aftermarket halogen bulbs. nbsp;Viper alarm system with spare remotes. custom speakers and speaker guards. Class I tow hitch (I towed my Waverunner with this van) 5000 watt sine wave inverter. 8 interior switchable dome lights can be switched from dash and rear door. Spare DC power outlets in rear. Cibie driving lights. Rear high power back up lights. Spare computer & other parts. This has always been a wonderful little truck and was first used for my video production business and then to tow my Yamaha Waverunner on weekends. It has always gotten 20+ miles per gallon with no issues whatsoever. As noted it has always been run on "Mobile One" (who figured this would happen) but a couple of years ago there was a tapping noise and then who knows it just sounded like marbles loose in the engine. I intended to do an engine swap with another Safari. Astro or Chevy S-10 pickup but live in an apartment so I parked it in my friend's lot and then "life" got in the way. While in the lot where it has sat it has been "roughed up" by wind. UV. sand and other parking-lot "issues" so now the rearview mirror glass is broken. the rear door is dented and the side door has been raked. These are minor body issues and my local Maaco has quoted me $900 to fix all these and do a complete paint job so it's not really a big issue. There are parts on this van you just cannot find on most Astro/Safari vans such as the chrome bumpers and wheels. clear turning lenses and more. The van is completely open behind the divider and the floor is flat with 3/4" plywood and carpet over. It's admittedly a project-vehicle but a really. really good start if you have the capability and space to do the engine work. Please let me say again and stress the van is very dirty and dusty as it's been sitting. it needs engine work or a short-block swap. it needs some body work and a new rear latch. It is however a really great little truck with very modest work. a collectors item. Note: the vehicle will have to be flat bedded or towed and/as it is not drivable and must be removed from its current lot in 5 days following the auction or it will be removed at your cost.
