Description of 1949 GMC FC102

Up for auction is a very rare 1949 GMC FC102 half ton pickup truck. This truck was purchased brand new by a central Oklahoma cotton farmer in the late 1940's (I found and have paperwork from 1958 in the glove box) and he drove it regularly up until his passing in the early 1970's, at which time his neighbor purchased his farm and acreage, as well as everything that was in the outbuildings, including this truck. The neighbor's kids drove the truck around for a couple years and parked it in the mid 1970's, which is where it sat until a few weeks ago when I winched it out from its resting spot.
The truck has an excellent patina that only happens by sitting in a field for decades. Overall, the truck is very solid and has great floors, rockers, doors, and has very little rust issues. The passenger cab corner has some rust, the passenger kick panel area has a little rust through (see pics). The rear of the cab has a small rust hole and the bed has a little rust on the bottom of the front panel. While it was sitting someone decided to take target practice on the drivers widow, rear window, and drivers windshield.
I ran the serial on the engine and it is a Chevrolet 235 engine out of a 53 model. It’s all there and it looks like it would run, however I have not tried to turn it over. It's hooked to a 4 on the floor transmission that seems to be all intact.
Currently I do not have a title for the truck, but can obtain a title 42 through Oklahoma tag agency for an extra couple hundred dollars. If you are interested in this option please let me know and we can talk through it.
