For sale is my California native 1982 Honda Prelude.I am the 2nd owner of this Prelude, nd purchased it from the original lady owner in L.A., alifornia in September, 004.1982 was the last year for the 1st generation Prelude. It is Windsor Blue over tan. It is equipped with power brakes, ower sunroof, anual locks, indows, nd mirrors and manual steering. The drivetrain is the original 3 bbl. carbureted EK1 CVCC series 1.8L 4 cylinder, ith the 5-speed manual transaxle.The A/C has been retrofitted to R-134a. Tires were new when I purchased it.It has been garage kept its entire life, nd has never seen snow or salt, arely seen rain, nd has never been hit. Body is straight and rust-free. Paint is lightly patinaed but shiny. Interior is in good condition, o cracks or fading, ut the driver's seat needs recovered. There is an aftermarket CD stereo installed but it is not wired up. All glass is good, nd it comes with all original paperwork (except window sticker,) original spare tire and jack, omplete service history, ales literature, wner's manual and factory service manual. When I purchased it, he vehicle ran but needed a new engine. One cylinder was dead due to preignition, aused by repeated adjustments to the carburetor so it would pass California emissions. It was trailered home to Indiana and stored indoors for 5 years awaiting a rebuild. In September, 009 the original engine was rebuilt by Baker's Hillham Garage of Hillham, ndiana. At that time a new clutch kit and brake master cylinder were installed. Unfortunately the engine was not properly built and has not run correctly since.Repeated attempts to get Baker's Hillham Garage to make it right were unsuccessful to the point I did not trust them and would not take it back.A new Keihin carburetor was later installed and tuned at a different garage. The vehicle runs, ut has a noticeable lack of power and valve noise, nd will stall once warmed up. It has run but not been driven in the past 3 years.Since then I have not been able to further repair it due to health concerns and cost. Now I am moving, nd regrettably it is time for this unique first gen. Honda to have a new owner who can give it the love and attention it deserves. This vehicle is being sold AS-IS, ash Only, o the winning bidder. All sales are final.
