Description of 1983 Honda Accord |
| Honda Accord purchased new by my parents. Dealer installed options include radio/tape unit with front and rear speakers, electric assist radio antenna, A/C and Honda floor mats. I acquired car during 1991 and added right side mirror. Salvaged title a result of parking lot accident damage to driver door (see photo). Insurance company totaled car given its age and mileage. Driver door opens and closes ok. Window and door lock operate as designed. Warm engine has a lean miss like symptom and won't idle. Warm engine dies as car slows to a stop. Starts again ok but must depress gas pedal to keep running. Slight indication of lean miss like symptom at freeway speeds. No indication of miss like symptom during acceleration. Car is registered as non-op in California as it will not pass smog test with engine idle problem. Clear coat and paint are deteriorated. Paint on roof flaking away revealing primer. U.S. 101 freeway about 3 miles from my residence. Sale is final. No refund. |
