Description of 1980 Hummer H1

Own an iconic vehicle. It is a head turner. Everywhere I go people give me the thumbs up, waives, or even salutes. There is something about a Humvee that people love. It starts up right away. It drives great with tons of power. One comment people make when they drive it is that is has a lot more power and quicker than they thought it would be. This Humvee spent over 100 days in the paint shop. It came out of the paint shop just a couple of months ago. Painting this the right way was very expensive. The whole inside and bed were rhino lined. The outside was painted inGMC Yukon Iridium metallic paint. It looks almost black but it’s a very dark grey. I get a lot of compliments on the color of the vehicle. It looks amazing! A mistake a lot of people with Jeeps and Humvees is to paint the entire outside with rhino lining. It eventually fades and looks bad. The smart thing to do is to the bed and the inside. Another mistake guys make is to use the military black, tan, or camo paint. It just doesn’t look very good and doesn't have a clear coat so it will eventually fade. I wanted this to shine with a clear coat on top instead of a cheap paint job. I wanted it to last. You will appreciate it if you buy it.

I started by getting rid of the uncomfortable Humvee seats. They are horrible and are hard on your back. I put in all new seats that are comfortable. I wanted to be able to drive this around and feel good. I put in a custom rusted out looking Texaco fire extinguisher in the inside.

The outside is what really catches people’s attention. I started by adding 2 super bright LED light bars. I like to drive with the bottom one on. I then added gas cans on the back bed to make it look a lot tougher. There is also a hi lift jack, shovel, axe, and pick. I wanted the Humvee to have a safari look to it. You have to have a big long antennae to make it look legit. It’s the little things that make the biggest difference.

I just had the oil and fluids changed 4/8/17. If I am going to sell the Humvee, I don’t want the person buying it to have to worry about something like that right after they buy a Humvee. The vehicle runs great, breaks work great. The only thing that is weak is the parking break. I am sure it just needs tightening. This is an amazing vehicle that you will be extremely happy with. The thing I learned is that it costs a ton of money redoing one of these things. It is a huge project that I have been working on for a while. I have done all the hard work. Now it’s your turn to enjoy this amazing Humvee. This is a clean Street legal Humvee. I drive it to work all of the time.

No dreamers, no payments, no trades. Please only bid on the vehicle if you can actually buy it. This can only be sold to U.S. buyers. No out of the country sales. Also $1000 non refundable deposit is due by paypal within 24 hours of auction closing. This a 1987 Humvee. I couldn’t put the year on there because ebay doesn’t recognize the Humvee vin. This vehicle is being sold As Is with no warranty expressed or written.
