Vintage Scout II. 1974
I just returned from a four month adventure in my Scout II. From Southern California to Northern Nevada Camping, fishing and back country excursions. 1,000 miles trouble free, many on dirt roads and trails. This Scout has never broke down leaving me stranded in the 10 years I have owned her. I am the second owner. Nothing mickey moused. 99% Complete as factory assembled.
If you are searching for a master project to use your tools/shop to recondition to 100% an original 1974 Scout II and then enter CAR SHOWS and bring home some trophy hardware, this is it. A great base to start from. No busting the bank buying major parts or hunting scrap yards for rare parts. All virgin Scout II in one piece.

If you want to just turn the front hubs, lock and go 4 wheeling trails, as it was designed to do safely and efficiently, then spend ten grand and be in the boonies by next weekend. In vintage class and vintage style. .
None of this Scout is worn beyond expected wear and tear for a 42 year old gal... The worst is worn out seat cushions, left door opening mechanism failed, turn signal arm control on column just snapped, a whiskey ding on left front fender, brake replacement soon and it wouldn't hurt to buff out paint if your going into town on a Saturday night looking for that someone special to ride shotgun.
She is a faithful, reliable and a smooth working Scout II as is where is for the price.
