Description of 1961 International Harvester Scout

Here's an old Scout 80 that I bought 5 or 6 years ago thinking I'd restore it because of its unusual features. To date all I've gotten done is a tuneup. Like so many others, I have more projects than I can finish in this life (I'm 75) so I've decided to sell it so someone else can have a chance.
The good news: It starts right up and runs GREAT! Good compression, good oil pressure. It has power brakes (see photo), overdrive (Warn? See photo--4th lever is the OD) and 16-inch slotted wheels (slotted to cool the power brakes?) I have the line-setting ticket, and it shows a front-mounted winch. Unfortunately, I didn't get the winch when I bought it.. I thought I had something rare, but the Scout experts at the IH Nationals last summer said "not so rare." I'll settle for "unusual." I think it's very restorable, but it won't be a two-day easy job.
The bad news: It's got an obstruction in the gas tank, so I'm running it off a bottle under the hood. The body does have some rust, and it's been fixed at least once before. The aluminum plates over the rocker panels probably are to conceal more rust. The brakes are non-functional--front wheel cylinders leaking like crazy. It will need an exhaust system and the seat needs upholstering.
IH built a Scout II in 1976 to commemorate the nation's bicentennial. They called it the "Spirit of '76." I think whoever owned this old Scout 80 back then decided to make this one commemorative, too; hence the red, white, and blue motif. The red stripes are tape, everything else is paint.
I welcome inquiries from serious potential buyers, and will be glad to show the Scout by appointment.. Please, no tire-kickers, pen pals, or people who call and make an appointment to see it, but don't show up. I am not interested in trades--got 'way too much stuff now. I can deliver for an agreed-upon charge, paid up front. I will not ship, but will be glad to cooperate with your shipper if desired. I live in Indiana, Zip Code 46992. Inquiries by phone are ok: 7659812237.
My favorite method of dealing is cash on pickup.
