Description of 1960 International Harvester Other

This 1960 International Harvester B-160 Travelette is a 4×4 crew-cab short-bed pickup that is finished in black and metal which since has aquired a nice surface patina rust look. There is texture-lined bed that is showing a few cracks.Inside is a black vinyl interior, and power is from a replacement 392ci V8 paired with a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission and a dual-stick two-speed transfer case.
The first 6 photos show the difference from 2021 to now and I do like the surface rust look but it can't stay like that forever so it's up to the new owner on which direction they want to go.
Additional features include Dana 44 axles, 15″ Mickey Thompson wheels wearing 35″ BFGoodrich tires, and towing mirrors. The transmission and driveshafts were overhauled during current ownership, and a new clutch, a replacement transfer case, and a Magnaflow dual exhaust system were also installed. This B-120 Travelette is now offered with recent service receipts and a clean California title.

International Harvester redesigned its full-size trucks for 1957 and added a crew cab body with a single rear door. This example features black paint on the front fenders and lower body panels, along with polished uncoated bare metal on the bed and upper cab surfaces. Various dents and blemishes are present and can be seen in the photos. Dual towing mirrors are fitted to the A-pillars, a grab handle has been added to the left B-pillar.
Exposed metal surfaces in the cabin are painted white, and features include front and rear bench seats that have reupholstered in black vinyl. Matching carpets cover the floors, and a heater is located under the dash. Splitting is noted on the rear of the front bench, and insulation has been added to the roof panel, though no headliner is fitted.

The 392ci V8 was reportedly sourced from a later half-ton International Harvester. The column-shifted three-speed manual transmission was overhauled and fitted with a new clutch and resurfaced flywheel in July 2020, at which time a replacement twin-stick New Process 202 dual-range transfer case was also installed along with a new rear main seal.

The truck rides on Dana 44 front and rear axles sourced from a later half-ton pickup, and the rear differential cover has been painted red. The front, rear, and intermediate driveshafts were rebuilt in July 2020, and a dual Magnaflow exhaust system was also installed.
