Description of 1984 Isuzu Impulse

I genuinely like this car and it's one of the cleanest Isuzu Impulse's for sale on the market. I hate to let it go because I know I'll never find another one this clean short of buying and importing one from Japan. Unfortunately, life gets in the way and as much as I like this car, I like my 117 Coupe and Bellett more. So, to enable me to continue to own those beautiful money pits, something has to make way.
The Good:
BodyThe previous owner had the vehicle repainted and it looks quite goodThis is an accident-free car and the body is dead-straight

Engine
I recently had the cylinder head fully rebuilt with new valves, guides, seats, springs, seals, etc.New headgasket installed when head was doneNew front main seal
New distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wiresThe engine runs fantastically - it is gutless though, just like it was when new
Suspension
Handling by Lotus springs from an 88 model installed (front springs required 1 coil to be cut out to correct ride height)New shock absorbers installed when springs were installed
New lower balljoints installedNew tires with less than 2,000 miles on themNew steering rack bushing on driver side
The car handles and brakes extremely well now - so much better than the drivetrain can keep up with

Interior
A tape deck radio from an Isuzu Rodeo has been installed (replacing the atrocious aftermarket radio that was in the car)I'll even throw in a tape-recorder so you can make your own mix-tapes again, just like we used to do in the late 80s!The dash has two minor splits in it that aren't visible from the seatsThe rest of the interior is clean with no rips or tears - even the padding in the seats still feels good

The Not so Good:

BodyThere are a few scratches on the rear bumper where I think one of our cows rubbed up against it (I swear they are the dumbest animals on the planet)Honestly though, that's about it, the body on this car is awesome

Interior
Three of the four pull switches on the instrument cluster have broken off (I have two of the broken switches, but the third one is MIA)Air conditioning does not work (Missing belt, but needs an R12 recharge as well)There is some funky wiring with the AC system
(The heat cool/slider does not work - the solenoid on the blower unit under the dash is missing)(The airflow switch only works on max - it is off for all other positions)The equalizer does not work (Previous owner installed an aftermarket radio and all the equalizer wiring was sliced in the process - I have since replaced the aftermarket radio with a genuine Isuzu tape deck)
The original steering wheel is included, but the horn pad is broken and doesn't fit right(A cheapo Grant steering wheel is installed as a place holder at the moment, both wheels come with the car)
Engine
The engine doesn't like to idle correctly when cold, once warmed up its totally fineThe temperature gauge reads hot (The engine does NOT run hot though, confirmed with a laser thermometer thing)

Extras:
The original steering wheel and pad
A grant 3-bolt to 6-bolt adapter so good wheels can be fitted (eg. Nardi)The rest of the gasket-kit that wasn't used when the head was redoneA factory original RH taillight (I have no idea why I only have only one spare taillight, I received it from the previous owner when I got the car)

Buying a car on the internet is hard, so I tried to list everything I know about the car, good or bad. I want you to know exactly what you're getting into. Usually this shoots me in the foot because I know how much the human brain loves clickbaity type stuff (CLEANEST ISUZU ON THE PLANET!!! CAR DEALERS HATE HIM, BUY THIS CAR TO SEE WHY!!!). <- That's not true, I'm sure there are cleaner Isuzu's out there. Car dealers do hate me though, but that's because I hate them more...

At any rate, I'm sure I missed some good things and some bad things, so if you have any questions or want pictures of something specific, please don't hesitate to contact me at any time!
