Description of 1970 Jaguar E-Type XKE

NO CORROSION !!!          NO ACCIDENT EVIDENCE !!         NO "BONDO" SPOTS ! First owner, n Orange County area Lady who, hen she turned 80, o longer wanted to deal with the wide sill climbing in and out of the car, ought a Lexus and gave or sold the car around 3/6-'94 to her nephew, retired Vice-Admiral in the Navy who sold the car to me in San Diego on 9/5-'97, ndicated mileage 16991, hich I assumed to be 116991.Drove it home to Sonora without any difficulty, araged it. Aesthetically the car presents itself well and yes there are a number of blemishes and some of the seals are becoming brittle. The front seats are covered in other than leather and are whole. The rear seat is original, eather, hich needs to be handled carefully. The roof liner is in place and sound. The door upholstery is in good shape with the driver door featuring a quarter sized piece of black tape near the tip of the handle. The luggage area floor section and the dashboard are in good shape. There is a faint arc on the windshield at the extreme track of the left-hand wiper. There are no cracks or scratches in/on the other glass surfaces. The doors, oor locks, oor windows function normally and open and close well though with some effort. All the toggle switches function well as do the gauges and the clock. I am 6'2" tall and with the seat slid back as far as it will go I can swivel my right foot from the accelerator pedal to the brake pedal with my legs extended straight out. In the course of the period during which I owned the car I regenerated the front fender flex seals, eplaced the hydraulic brake fluid reservoirs/floats, emoved the non functioning A.C. system, aneled the underneath of the dashboard, nstalled day-light running lights, enewed the luggage area floor strips, enewed the front seat seat inserts, nstalled a locking fuel tank cap, econditioned the front brakes. By 3/20-'12 I dropped the engine and transmission both of which functioned well enough but the transmission had started to loose some fluid whenever operated and the engine compression profile became less than optimally correct. Both units were treated by Professionals, etailed records can be made available to an eventual next owner. The description of the comprehensive and complete engine overhaul takes more space than I have but can be made available and forwarded to interested parties. New items other than pistons, ings, eals, lugs, earings, alves, uides, tuds, iming chains include: damper, il pump, uel pump, arburetor refit kits and a multitude of misc. components. Other new items which have nothing to do with the engine are: tires, lternator, egulator, attery tray, oolant hoses. I took my first drive in the reconditioned machine on 4/11-'15 at mileage 117813 and was pleased with the overall performance. The car is currently registered and insured and available for viewing and inspection at the owner's address, y appointment, or serious parties. The successful bidder/buyer is responsible for all transportation expenses and applicable taxes associated with that activity. Vehicle will be sold "AS IS,WHERE IS" with no warranty stated or implied. A non-refundable deposit of $1,000.- in U.S. funds is required within two working days after the auction closes and the balance of the price bid by the winner is due within 10 working days after the auction closes. Both payments should be made either in cash or electronic funds transferred to my Bank. Neither the Title nor the Vehicle will be released prior to the Bank having cleared the aforementioned funds.
