Description of 1986 Jaguar XJ6 SERIES III

Please call with any questions: 850-728-4322 (Paul)Low retail on this nearly 30 year old car is $5800. so I know this is a deal for a maintained car like this with such low mileage. Selling my 1986 Jaguar XJ6. I need a work van. so I decided to try to sell it. The car has had 3 owners. one in New York. one in Port Saint Lucie. and me in Tallahassee. I bought this car to restore it. It has only 60. 00 miles on it and is mechanically sound. Needs to be painted and the previous owner put a dent in the passenger rear door. unfortunately. Easy body work and paint job for a local body and paint shop. The engine can be bored out for more power and a turbo can easily be added as well. I was planning on doing both of these to the engine myself as well as installing a tappet restrictor plate to ensure that the engine can easily reach 200. 00 miles without any major issues. http://www. nadaguides. com/Classic-Cars/1986/Jaguar/XJ6/4-Door-Sedan-Vanden-Plas/Values This car is NADA certified by the original owner from New York. In less than two years this car will be 30 years old making it an antique. Once it becomes antique status. the value will increase even more. Don't let that fool you though. This 4. 2L. straight 6 engine will eat most any car on the road for lunch at high speeds. The Jaguar has been converted over to PREMIUM. Castrol Edge synthetic oil. You can no longer put conventional oil in this car ever! After the switch to synthetic oil the engine runs smoother and at least 10 degrees C cooler. We were able to do this because this particular Jaguar has such low mileage on it. Makes me wonder how many Jags would still be on the road if they had this synthetic oil in them. It's simply amazing stuff. No need to change your oil for up to 15. 00 miles. -----> The A/C blows so cold. you will have to turn it off at times. I will also top off the freon/coolant in front of whoever buys it. It's going to be a hot summer. we all know it is. The electric moon roof is great too and has no issues opening or closing or leaks. You're GF (or whatever) can look up and see the stars as you drive. ; ) Already has new tires. points. Premium spark plugs (cost a small fortune). Wix Premium fuel filter. STP premium oil filter. master brake cylinder. new lifetime brake pads. All fluids are clean with no leaks. Transmission and engine was rebuilt by Jaguar at previous owners request so he could inspect the motor. etc. before his warranty expired. No problems were found but all gaskets were replaced. Engine was also rebuilt again by a mechanical engineer in Tallahassee to inspect the engine again recently (this year). Again. everything in the engine was clean and in excellent condition. So much so that only a few gaskets were even replaced. There are no leaks. We only put premium fuel (Shell or Chevron) in this car. as well as fuel additives that have fuel system and injector cleaners (Lucas brand) for even higher octane boosts with every fill up. I do this because I love this car and I know how to take care of a British vehicle. You certainly do not have to use such premium fuel. mid grade or even regular would be just fine. I just know this car deserves the best fuel I can put in it and she loves it. The hood and roof are rust colored from where someone began to sand down the rougher paint. The body has a few small spots above the hood that would need to be filled and sanded by a paint and body shop. If you want this car you may want to get it repainted. A lot of people think it looks cool the way it sits though. The dent is on the rear passenger door and the rear fender got rubbed just a bit. Paint and body shop can fix all of it. The interior trim is ok. but not the best around the shifter. I know a place that can send a complete new trim set for $160 if you want help with that kind of stuff. I pulled just the floor mats out as I intended to replace them. One of the dual exhausts needs a rubber gasket. All minor stuff.
