Description of 1990 Jaguar XJS Base Convertible 2-Door

This is a beautiful 1990 XJS with a 5.3L V-12, automatic convertible with 58,000 original miles. It has had a frame on restoration including, new paint, new convertible top and headliner, new wheels, new tires (including spare), new burlwood trim, etc. The car runs and drives as it should. It starts and idles correctly and the air conditioning is very cold. The engine runs at a normal temperature and the transmission shifts correctly. Recent repairs include, engine mounts, transmission seals and gaskets, transmission filter and fluid, oil pan gasket, tune-up (spark plugs), engine oil and filter, air filters, etc. This vehicle is simply stunning to look at and is pre-Ford engineering and assembly. I drive it on mild days with the top down, but could certainly be a daily driver with no issue. As far as I can tell it is 100% original including the radio and trip computer, both of which work perfectly. The cruise control does not work but I have never even tried to have it fixed so I have no idea why it is inoperative. There is a small crack in the dashboard that could probably be repaired by someone who does that type of work fairly easily. This car turns heads and gets compliments everywhere I go. You will be very proud to own this car and will gets years of enjoyment out of it. Bid with confidence. We are building a new, smaller, home and I am losing a garage space so it has to go. Ask any questions you may have and I will answer to the best of my ability. Robert
