Description of 1970 Jaguar XK

Here is a 1970 Jaguar Type E 2+2 that has been off the road for 30 + years. I have owned it for over 6 years.

It is an ENGINE NUMBER matching car and has a Heritage certificate to go along with it. The prior owner was going to put in a Ford v8 but stopped and stored it for 30 or more years.

The car is extremely rust free for a Jaguar as you can see in the pictures. It still has the original paint on the floor boards and undercoating under the car. It does have various dings and scraps and was painted the wrong shade of cream a long time ago. The paint is still presentable for a driver. This is perfect candidate for a 100% show car considering the starting basis

The whole front suspension and brake system has been rebuilt, along with a new ss exhaust system.

The interior is original and shows some wear. But again very presentable for a driver.

The engine was started about 6 years ago to determine its condition and was sound with no smoke and or funny noises. Radiator was removed and cleaned out.

It has a clean California title in my name and is on non op.

What still needs to be done:

Clean fuel tank and lines

Install exhaust system

Bleed brake system

Front carpets

New tires

I cannot finish the project due to medical problems and must stop working on toys. The reserve is extremely reasonable considering the rusted hulks that are advertised.

Engine # 7R39848-9 See Photo of flywheel and Data Plate. The Autonatic transmission has a different number from the data plate probably changed some time in the car's life.

OOPS I meant the engine number is on the bell housing not the flywheel as it should be. The number is not on the head as stated in the Jaguar bible "later production did not have the number on the head". Since this was built in March 1970 I would think it is considered a later built.
Bidders are asking for a Buy it Now number, I do not know what it is worth in this condition to have a BIN so bid what you would like to pay for it and see what happens.
