Welsh Enterprises Inc. 1956 Jaguar XK140 FHC Featuring Automatic Transmission (All Original) A well preserved, all original, rare example of the classic Jaguar Marquee! The Jaguar XK140 was first introduced in 1954 as a successor to the XK120. Much like the 120, the 140 gets its name for the top speed of 140mph and features vast improvements over the XK120. The XK140 was a popular car for not only its improved interior size, but also its great performance. This Fantastic Example of The Jaguar XK140 Features: Fitted with the rare Borg-Warner automatic transmission. Manufactured in May 1956 and is left hand drive. Car has been in storage for 57 years (since 1961 to be exact), has 48,746 miles and all gauges appear to be in working order as well as well as exterior lighting. Engine fires and runs, the brake system does need a go through and the fuel tank flushed. Has a regular 140 engine and not a C-Type engine. Block matches but the head does not. Non matching C-Type head is available for purchase separately. Serves as a great starter restoration car featuring a solid body and no rust on the undercarriage. Most of the paint is believed to be original. The rust seen in the pictures is from a garage with a leaky roof. This car is exceptionally original except for the interior. The body is in exceptional condition making for a easy re-paint job if wanted. A classic collector car makes a great, rewarding, and enjoyable investment.
