Description for Jaguar E-Type 1972

1972 Jaguar XKE

2+2 V12

As you read the description for this 1972 Jaguar XKE 2+2 V12, you may feel the way that we do that this could be one of the most attractive 2+2 currently being offered.

To start with it has spent the past 15 years in the same heated garage and never saw rain or snow. The car is in a most attractive British Racing Green with a new beige interior including headliner, dash, seats and rugs, etc. It has just the equipment that makes the car most exciting. By this we mean that this XKE has a 4-speed transmission, and get this – power steering.

Yes!It is one of a very few 1972 Jag XKE 2+2 with power steering, 4 speed and factory air.

This 2+2 has matching numbers and the original V12 engine; the engine clutch and transmission were completely rebuilt (4 carbs rebuilt and synched) and less than 500 miles since rebuild. Odometer reads 32,625 miles.

A new Davis Racing Radiator was installed, all hoses replaced, and radiator fans were replaced.

The car has a new stereo and speakers and even includes I-phone connectivity.

All rubber look to be in good condition.

Wire Wheels have been trued and adjusted with new tires.

The exhaust system is now stainless steel.

Suspension has been gone over completely with bushings, bearings, etc.

This is a car that is ready to take on any long mileage tour or show it off at the local shows!

So if you are looking for an XKE that is a 12 cylinder, that is ready to go with no apologies, and is more exciting because of its 4-speed transmission, factory air and power steering, this is a car that won’t disappoint! The reserve is very attractive (please don’t ask). Video available.
