Description of 1952 Jaguar XK

Early XK120 coupe for restoration. I bought this car a few years back and intended to restore it but life has intervened, The Jag has been in storage for this time. Now the details, the engine turns but I have not torn down the engine at this point. All the big parts seem to be there, the car appears complete. There is surface rust on the exterior panels but nothing invasive or problematic. The discoloration you see in the pictures is from the paint peeling but the metal underneath looks good.This is a matching numbers car. There is a long 12-14" crease on the roof which can be easily addressed and the drivers side door skin is damaged and needs replacement however the door seems to close properly so I don't think there is damage to the door frame. The previous owner cut out the interior floor panels and those will need to be refitted. The tires appear decades old and the one on the passenger side front is flat and I haven't tried to inflate it, but regardless these will all go in the waste bin during a restoration. This car will need all systems completely restored but is a good starting point. What follows is from the Jaguar Heritage Certificate:
