| *** NO RESERVE!!! ****** You need to check with your state's DMV and make sure you can obtain a title for this vehicle PRIOR to placing a bid. Alabama law does not require titles for vehicles 35+ years old therefore it does not have a title and will only come with a bill of sale. There is a slideshow with more detailed pics at the bottom of the auction. *** 1966 Jaguar S-Type. A technologically more advanced version of the Mark 2. Between 1963-68 they only sold around 15k of these. I believe this is a 1966 by the car #. This car is mostly complete (missing some trim and the bumpers) and will need total restoration. It was originally burgundy with burgundy leather seats. It has the 3. 8L inline 6 dual overhead cam with a 3spd Borg Warner automatic transmission. It also has disc brakes. power steering. and an independent rear suspension. The data tag under the hood is present and shows that the engine is original. I assume the transmission is as well. Some of the trim is missing and so are the bumpers. The turn signal buckets are there. All of the windows are good. All 4 of the original spoke wheels AND the original spoke spare tire wheel come with the car. They will have to be restored and have the spokes rebuilt on some of them. The body on this car is pretty straight. However. it will need rust repair in the rockers. door skins. rear quarters. and outer wheelhouses. Everything else looks pretty good. It may need some minor floor patching. Not really sure as its covered. Trunk looks pretty good as well. The dash wood will have to be replaced as well as all of the interior panels. The seats need new foam and recovering. I know you can order alot of this online. Some of the door handles have been removed but do come with the car. These sell for $20-35k when restored and this would be a beautiful color combo.
