Description of 1968 Jeep Commando C101

I'm selling my sweet 1968 Jeepster Commando C101!

SEE MY YOUTUBE VIDEO!

If link doesn't work do a search on YouTube for "1968 Jeepster Commando - V6 Dauntless 225hp - FOR SALE!"

Video also includes many more detailed pictures to include the undercarriage.

This awesome 68' Commando has the stock 225 HP Dauntless Buick odd fire V6 with a 3 speed (T-86) and a Dana model 20 transfer case. 4 Wheel Drive works well in high and low. The engine runs great and has good oil pressure. Mechanically everything else seems sound. The title is clean and it is registered till June of next year. It also has cool California Historic Vehicle Plates.

It has been a fun car to own for the past year, ut unfortunately I've had some unexpected family expenses pop up and I'm going to have to sell. My loss is your gain! I wanted to strip her down and properly rebuild her for her 50 year anniversary in 2018. In the meantime, 've been using her as a daily driver around town and for my 5 mile commute to work. This has been a reliable car for me and hasn't caused any trouble other than your standard oil drip/leak here and there. As of me writing this the odometer reads 98,080. I have no idea if it is accurate or not. She still runs, ooks pretty cool, rakes need some work, ut otherwise mechanically sound. The interior is in half way decent shape considering the age. The driver seat has a few rips and the dash board is cracking here and there. Other than it having no radio and one of the two horn buttons don't seem to work, he rest of the Electrical system (lights, tc.) is all operational. Though I will say that some of the buttons on the dash have seen better days. There is also no top (but I love how it looks without one and I never had any intention of installing one; maybe a bikini top...), ut it does have a roll bar.

It's a stock 68 so the body is not perfect. Somewhere along the way there has been some well-done rust repair in the floor and bed. I'm sure there is some bondo in rockers as well but it would cover with some rocker guards to look almost perfect. As long as I've owned it she's spent her nights in the garage and out of the weather.

The previous owner painted it with a hammer-tone black and blue paint (which I think looks great and is easy to touch-up if need be). He did some front brake work, ut in some new front brake lines, epaired a fuel line, nd installed a new steering wheel. All I've done to it is recently installed brand new Toyo AT tires and have put less than 100 miles on them. I also put in a new battery a while back.

I'm including a fantastic and very detailed mechanic two volume parts catalog and a commemorative book that includes all kinds of articles, dvertisements, nd pictures from when the Jeepster Commando was still in production. All three books are in like new condition.

I think that this Jeepster is a true classic!I hope that she goes to a good home that will give her the care she deserves!

Bid starts at $3500. No Reserve!

Thanks!
