1961 FJ3 Mail Van Truck Step-Van 4x4 RockCrawler OFF-Road
Up for auction is this rare vintage US Mail van with unique patina that has been sealed in for protection. The 1961 FJ3 sits on a Toyota 4Runner chassis andpower train. This is a fabulous project vehicle that is sure to draw tons of attention. We started the FJ3, so it starts from the key. The drive shafts has not been installed, but I suppose it has still work with the front two tires. Vehicle has not been driven, but anyone with some fabrication skills should be able to complete this “Rock Crawler” into a real head turner. The FJ3 has been in Northern California for many years in the dry climate which minimized the rust. However, the combination of the US Mail colors and light rust make for a fantastic patina that you could not replicate. It has New tires, new interstate battery, new starter, low miles 22R drive train. Shocks still need to be installed forstabilityorcoil-overs. This is a one in a life time opportunity to own a part of US history while still have fun off roading at your place of choice.
