RARE super solid, and nearly fully restored, Jeep 4x4 pickup.
Exceptionally restored, while retaining approximately 75% original exterior paint !!!!!
Far too many points to effectivelylist everything.
Description can easily be condensed by stating the following:
---NEARLY EVERYTHING NEW---
Retained approximately 75% original paint!!!
---Countless hours spent---
(Even more countless dollars)
A partial list of newand/or restored items:
-Engine -Original, numbers matching, AMC 360 V-8. -Performance built by a very reputable facility (whose simple machine packages start at about $4500) -Cost nearly $10,000 (PLUS all incidentals:New alternator, steering pump, Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock cam package, Quickfuel carb, new distributor.... ETC.)-Transmission -Turbo 400-Transfer case -With twin-stick shifter-Suspension-Driveline-Steering-Interior
Subcategories of each section would run forever. Please just understand that nearly EVERYTHING on this JEEP is brand new.
Body off frame restoration. Everything refinished, with the exception of the body (which, as mentioned, managed to retain approx. 75% original finish). New floor pans welded in. New body panels hand-fabricated. Nothing was missed; not even tail light and signal lamp gaskets. This was a complete restoration, carefully done by an exacting professional and hobbyist, over the course of many years, to a high standard.
This truck is RARE. Appraisers had difficulty assessing value, and even Haggerty Collector Car Insurance (who seem to have a database for everything) couldn't find any information to put together even semblance of value. They are suggested something in the neighborhood of $20-25,000.
Everything on this JEEP is fresh-fresh. Tires, brakes, all the hoses, gas tank, window seals, carpet, seat belts, even all the wiring! I'm not even kidding.... Nearly everything. With the exception of the paint (personal choice). I prefer the patina.
The tires have maybe 250 miles. The nibs have barely wore off. Matter of fact, everything has maybe 250 miles. There are only test and tune miles. Beyond that, we have taken it to a couple carshows (where it was met with overwhelmingly great response), and enjoyed one short trip to the cabin and back. That's it.
This isn't the typical restoration you see here on Ebay, and this certainly isn't the typical restoration you'd see on an old pickup.
This was built well, built strong, and.... built to last.
We have enjoyed our many special interest, collector, and sports cars over the years but, I have to say... I have seldom seen a single vehicle draw as much attention, intrigue, and compliments as this JEEP truck.
I've taken it to the gas station, and while inside paying, have hadseveral guys come by and form conversation around it over how long it has been since any have seen one of these. Out of all the cars we have, and have had, everyone just seems most drawn by this truck. I remember these trucks well, and have always wanted one but, as I've found out, many people have never even seen one or knew they exist.
I cannot stress what an immense amount of time has been put into this Jeep. An even more immense amount of money has been invested. It really breaks my heart to list it for sale but, we've made our minds.....1 last vehicle has got to go.
