Description of 1965 Jeep CJ

I am selling my Ultimate rock crawling Monster Jeep. This jeep was originally built by one of my best friends. after several years of enjoyment he sold it to me. When I received it I had to give my personal Touch of course. My hobby is building hot rods and customs so working on a jeep was a treat for me. This is built to drive though anything. It comes with its own emergency touch up kit. Olive drab and black spray paint! lol Ok to start I do not know the exact hight of the lift. but I will tell you that you have to climb up the tire and use the straps to pull yourself in. The front suspension has a bolt that can be removed for full articulation. This monster is powered by a 365hp chevy small block that is fuel injected using a Edelbrock injection kit. The computer is mounted way under the dash. The Tires are 39 inches. This jeep with do burn outs all day long with the 39’s on it! The jeep does not have an odometer/speedometer. I use an app on my phone that does that for me by GPS. The motor has maybe 4000-5000 miles on it. guessing. Its 4 speed transmission with a granny 1st gear. The trans is SM465 GM transmission. The transfer case is a Danna 300 with a twin stick shift split gears. The rear is a AMC 20 rear 456 Gears Detroit Locker. The front is a Danna 30 456 Gears with Detroit locker and locking Hubs. The rear has a custom traction bar and the suspension is a shackle reversed Kit. I installed a brand new steering gear and it drives great at 65mph/70 at highway speed. I also put all new sky jacker shocks all the way around. All the flexible brake lines are stainless steel. I cannot stress to you enough how fast this jeep is! The roll cage is all custom built. My friend removed the 60’s body and install a cj7 body. The cage goes through the body and is fully welded to the frame all the way around the jeep. You can roll this baby and drive away no problem. There were a couple of spots that had rust and I cut all them out and installed new steel. The side panels are solid 1/8 solid steel. You will see them on the sides as diamond plate. I removed the dash and designed a military dash. It is powered coated black. The bezels and copper I powder coated clear so they would not tarnish. The switches are out of a JCB excavator and toggle switches. Some of the toggle switches do not light up green but I will include new ones that I have just not had time to switch out. The Fuel gauge does not work. The gauge is fine it needs a new sending unit. I mounted the radio in a custom center console in the center of the jeep. The speakers are brand new Marine speakers. I also replaced the steering wheel. We wire wheeled and cleaned the entire under side of the jeep. I used Eastwoods rust converter. encapsulator. and chassis paint! We then spray lined the inner fenders. and the inside of the jeep. The front and rear fenders are custom made and are steel. We painted everything with Eastwood spray paint or Olive drab spray paint. I wanted something that could be easily touched up. This is built to go off road! Ironically I have not been offered since I finished it! The engine compartment is designed to have two optima batteries installed. I currently only have one. The second one is for the winch and I do not have it hooked up. I never have ever needed to use it. I do have all the controls for the winch and have have seen it work. I was told it is the biggest winch you can get. The lights on the Jeep are all LED. It took of lot of money and work to do the conversion but I think it was worth it. The head light bulbs themselves are still Holagen but everything else is led. There are Led lights inside the jeep as well. I had everything smoked and cleared. I do have some soft doors for it and other misc stuff. My friend says he has a spare tire for it. Also a 39. If I can get it I will include also. I am selling the jeep to pay for other projects that need to be completed. I am open to reasonable offers. If you have any questions on anything that I have not covered please email me. I have title in hand!
