Description of 1956 Jeep CJ CJ5

1956 Willys CJ5
This CJ spent most of its life belonging to a small fire department. When I bought it it had less than
14000 miles and only one small spot of rust on the floor.
As with most fire department vehicles it had all kinds of stuff mounted all over, all mounting holes were
welded and repaired. Front fenders were replaced due to dents and excessive mounting holes.
The body was removed, chemically dipped to remove all paint, primed and painted.
The drive train is original and runs great.
I have added overdrive to make it more road worthy.
Wheels and tires are new.
Roll bar was added with custom spare mount.
All new springs and shocks.
New custom seat covers were added. New floor mats.
I have shown it at local shows, people can not believe it is 60+ years old.
The only thing it needs is a good alignment, has death wobble after springs were changed, I will have that done for the sale.
Cool little vehicle, I just have too many cars.
