Description of 1986 Jeep CJ7 Laredo

1986 CJ7 Sebring Red Laredo! NO RESERVE AUCTION!
This 1986 Sebring Red Laredo has original paint in nice condition. Runs and drives very nicely and cranks right up on cold days.
Interior is very nice. As you can see, the original Laredo seats are in very nice condition. 1 tiny crack on the driver side seat. Carpet is super nice too. All guages, including the tach and clock, work as they should except for the volt gauge. The little needle broke off, but these are commonly found and easy to replace..
The Jeep has a brand new Bestop soft top on it. Hard doors are original to the Jeep. The chrome handles are sunfaded and can be replaced relatively inexpensively and easily. Since this is a late year production number, it does come with the Dana 44 rear axle! Tires are in very nice shape with plenty of tread!
The air conditioner does not work. Could be as simple as a plug or fuse, but I have zero knowledge about AC systems, so I am not one to troubleshoot. Horn does not work...not sure why. Heater control cables will need to be replaced. Jeep is 99% rust free. Frame is very solid. Front driver side floor pan had a section replaced, but was done very nicely with proper grooved sheet metal, and is painted to match (under carpet, cannot tell). Passenger side rocker panel has a tiny little area of "bubbling", but does not go through (see the photo). I personally would not worry about it as it is minor. The swing out tire carrier has a fancy hex key instead of the OEM locking pin. I guess the pin fell out at some point in it's life. There is a small dent on the drivers side rear quarter panel normally hidden by the license plate (see photo). The rest of the Jeep is very solid. Just some superficial surface rust otherwise.Even with these flaws, it is still a very nice, solid Jeep CJ7! These are easy repairs.
96K miles on a smooth shifting 4-speed manual transmission. There will be no surprises when you get it. I take pride in very honestly advertising my vehicles because as a consumer, I hate surprises too. Not sure what else to say. If you have further questions, please message me PRIOR to bidding.
This is my standard vehicle disclaimer - $500 immediate deposit due right away. Balance due within 3 business days of purchase via wire transfer or cashiers check. Vehicle is expected to be picked up within 2 weeks of purchase. This is a private-party sale and I have the free and clear title in my name. I'd love to say fly in and drive it home, but remember, it's a 35 year old vehicle. I think it would make it anywhere in the country just fine, but that is up to you. I know for peace of mind I would transport it, but that's just me. If you're from out of town, I have a super reliable auto transporter who I have not been able to beat his prices. I would be glad to relay that information to you, or assist you in getting a quote from him. Or, you can always be old school.....haul your own trailer, come drink a beer with me, and pick up the Jeep yourself. That is sometimes better!
