Description of 1987 Jeep Wagoneer Grand Wagoneer

Spectacular. low miles. completely renovated. 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer (SJ) for sale. Per Wiki. “The Jeep Wagoneer was the first luxury 4x4. sold and produced through numerous marques from 1963 to 1991. A "sport utility vehicle" (SUV) for decades before the term was even coined. the 4WDWagoneer saw only minor mechanical changes during its 28-year plus production run. the third longest in U. S. automotive history. Introduced as a successor to the Willy’s Jeep Station Wagon that had been built since the end of World War II. the Wagoneer pioneered the sport utility vehicle concept. ” This Woody started life as an original 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Since purchased by its current owner. it has undergone a 7 year project build. including contributions from a 1991 donor vehicle to create the stunning example you see in the photos. The owner’s build sheet included replacement of the original frame and installation of a complete Matkins Extreme off-road frame running the full length of this Wagoneer. A custom aluminum fuel tank. with steel skid plate for added protection has been installed; restored wheels and new tires are now on the vehicle as well. All exterior brightwork has been reconditioned or replaced. Twin Marchal bumper mount headlights are installed up front for added illumination. New full-length vinyl “wood-trim” from BJ’s Off-Road (thicker and more durable than the original) has been installed front to back. Completely finished in the highly desirable Hunter Green exterior paint. The 4 wheel drive system remains in place along with the transmission and the original AMC 360. 5. 9L V8 motor. The original carbureted fuel delivery system has been replaced with an Edelbrock EFI Pro-Flo2 fuel injection system for easy and consistent starts. A new Grant wood steering wheel has been installed and the dash panel is completely restored and modified to incorporate a full complement of all-new Custom Instruments gauges. An in-dash Kenwood DNX6190HD Garmin Navigation System has been installed as well. A completely new tan leather interior was installed with custom leather Sparco Milano Prestige front bucket seats and black Schroth 4-point harnesses. An oversize leather-covered utility cargo box and console is located between the front seats. A bolt-in harness bar is provided immediately behind the front seats for attachment of the front harnesses. The rear bench seat has been reupholstered in matching tan leather and also has new black 4-point Schroth harnesses and bolt-in harness bar in the rear cargo area. New black carpet has been installed throughout. as have metal floor runners in the cargo area Stored indoors since restoration completed in 2013. Original miles are unknown. but has been driven less than 300 miles since date of Texas titling in August 2013. Displays Texas Classic Truck plates and based on current age of vehicle (over 25 years old) is exempt from emissions testing in Texas.
