1977 Jeep CJ with RARE 304 V8 and 4 Speed Manual Transmission Combo
- This Jeep fires up and runs well. The motor is strong and powerful. The 4 speed transmission shifts smoothly and is a great combo with the V8.
- White exterior paint is overall in pretty good condition--I get a lot of comments about how cool it looks.
- Frame is solid with no structural rust that I or my mechanic have seen.
- High quality lift kit and matching larger tires is a nice combination.
- This Jeep was sent a 4x4 shop a number of years ago where the lift kit was installed and the body was replaced with a fiberglass tub. It is lighter and less likely to cause a rollover. Also, it does not rust. Looks great.
- The interior could use a bit of work. The inside paint is peeling, but could easily be redone.
- Aside from minor electrical/gauge issues (odo/speedo broken), this Jeep needs two main things: 1) A master cylinder for the brakes 2) The carb needs to be slightly adjusted as it does not like to idle until it warms up. Other than that the drivetrain is very solid.
- Top not included, but I have tan cloth doors.
- Good Jeep at a fair price. It is great for the beach/to drive around town. With a little elbow grease, this could be a beautiful example.
