Description of 1988 Jeep Comanche Sportruck

Dry Western Example of a Jeep Comanche Pick-Up TruckYou really don't find trucks like these anymore. Most comanches out there are rusted out from being run forever in harsh. salty. dirty conditions. but to their testament. they still run! This one is a prime. dry. original example that runs great. The body is dry and straight. underbody is pristine. as is the frame/unibody. The 2. 5L engine starts right up. even in the deepest cold. and runs like top. The exterior paint is slightly sun-faded. giving it great western-style patina and character. The interior shows signs of wear and sun exposure but is functional and intact for the most part. The engine bay is very clean. This is NOT like the other jeeps for sale out there where the engine box is caked with mud and grease. this one is quite clean. as shown in the photos. All the electronics work - there aren't many of them. as this is a very basic truck. but they are all functional! This is a vehicle that is hard to find in the condition that this one is in. This is not a show truck. it has 136. 00 miles on it. and does not seem to have been rebuilt. painted. etc. It would make a great daily driver. family project. off-road build. fishing truck. or a very easy restoration. I recently drove this on a 600 mile trip and had zero issues with it. I have described everything to the best of my knowledge to make sure you buy the truck you see. If there are any questions please message me before bidding. I'd be happy to answer anything. The Great:-2. 5L inline 4-cylinder engine runs strong-Recent oil change -Recent air filter-Dry. straight body (yes. some surface rust from paint scratches in the bed/tailgate/etc. The photos speak for themselves. it was used as a truck. after all)-Floorboards are very solid! (some surface rust on floor under driver. but no perforation) - see photo. it's been neutralized with some of that rust-to-primer rust neutralizer. -Old-style aftermarket radio works. plays through some vintage police-radio speakers mounted behind the seat (very cool looking)-Transmission and clutch shift fine (previous owner said he replaced slave and master cylinder. but I don't have papers to back it up)-Brakes work great (slight pulsing when stopping from highway speed)-Gets good mileage (25 mpg doing about 60mph. 21 doing 80)-Front end is tight (steering is tight)-Wheel bearings have no play-Engine bay is VERY CLEAN. -All gauges work properly-Windows crank properly -All locks work properly-Headlamps work properly (hi/low)-Tail lamps work-Brake lamps work-Hazard signals work-Wipers work on all settings-Turn signals work-Blower motor works-Has sturdy aftermarket rear bumper with trailer ball mount (pretty substantial. will definitely handle anything the truck can)-Cool "Sportruck" 80's graphics on the side-Tires are from 2011. have decent tread left. probably 75%-Freshly greased joints in front end-Exhaust is intact. including catalytic converter. The issues-Headliner is missing-Sun visors saw too much sun damage - they are complete. but are slightly tattered from sun. -Dash is cracked in places from sun damage. as is the top/back seam of the bench seat-Driver seat cushion is torn but repaired with Gorilla tape-Drips a little oil in the driveway like every other jeep on the planet. but nothing to be concerned about. -Carpet/cab liner is tattered under driver floor mat. exposing the floorboards themselves which have some surface rust (no perforation!) which has been neutralized with a high-quality rust-to-primer compound. (just wear from someone's feet being there for 136. 00 miles) -see photo-Typical scratches in box and elsewhere (minimally) from being a truck (one longer scratch on driver door)-Faded paint on top surfaces (clear coat peeling on hood)-Front bumper has a small dent on driver side$500 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction. I'll accept personal check. cash. or JP Morgan Chase Quick-Pay. Shipping is responsibility of the buyer. but I can suggest a good shipping broker whom I have used in the past if the buyer does not want to pick up the vehicle in person.
