Description of 1967 Jeep Commando

No Reserve and No CA Smog required!
Super rare, one of only 2327 true convertible "Jeepster" models. VIN 8701 is different from the Jeepster Commando VINs, this vin was set aside for the Convertible sometimes called Roadster model which originally came with quarter windows unlike the standard commando models.

Very collectible and sought after model. Has the Jeep Dauntless 225 V6 in place which appears to be pretty complete, with transmission bellhousing. Front and rear drive axles are present along with driveshafts. Dana 20 Transfer case included. Has been off the road likely since the late 80s and will need full restoration. Does not have a transmission gearbox. Was going to upgrade it to an automatic trans.

A total of only approximately 57,350 C101 Kaiser Jeepster commandos were built from 1966-1971. Even rarer is model 8701, being auctioned here. 1967 was the first year model for this body style. Set yourself apart from the sea of Broncos and build yourself a rare Jeepster.
Also advertised on other platforms and I reserve the right to end this auction early if an acceptable offer is made.
Sold as is, as a project for restoration! Not running nor driving. I have the title for it, which matches the vin under the hood.
