Description of 1988 Lamborghini Other

This is my 1988 Lamborghini Jalpa. I won't go into the history or much that you won't find on the internet, xcept to say that these are very rare. Around 420 built, ith just a hand full in the final year (1988) that came with the Bravo wheels, eft over from the Silhoette production. The wheels were purportedly a 6k option at that time. They really make the car imo. Odds are really good that you will never see a Jalpa, et alone a factory Bravo wheeled car. This is only the second Jalpa that I have ever seen in person. The first was briefly as a kid. Any of the other sightings were from shows like Miami Vice or the movie Rocky. Less than 100 cars have ever been built with the Bravo style wheels which consist of the Jalpa, ilhouette and S1 Countach.
The condition of the car is nice. The leather is the original and in great shape. The bolsters, arpets (including the trunk), nd the headliner are terrific. There is some shrinkage of leather on the dash around the instrument cluster. Tires and brakes are decent. The car does not wander from lane to lane at any speed or shake when the brakes are applied. The clutch has no chatter, ransmission shifts good through the gated plate & does not jump out of any gears or grind. The engine starts pretty quick, ust let the electric fuel pump build up pressure, ump the pedal and it will start. Even after sitting for a little longer than I would have chosen. It runs out and sounds like only an exotic car of it's type can. With the targa top off you will never listen the the radio, hich has been upgraded to a cd & amp by the previous owner.
The car has been kept up from the beginning, nd never a barn find or project. The previous owner spent 8k going over various things, nd I spent more. I recently replaced the distributor drive belt, park plugs, nd changed the oil. Since I was doing that, decided to have the alternator rebuilt also. The spark plug wires were replaced a few years ago. It's been a great car & I have owned it for about 9 years.
This is a US model car. I went to great trouble and expense to remove the US air boxes. I spent 6 years looking for a set & found them in Australia. The engine looks better, s easier to work, nd sounds great. A Blaster coil and an stainless steel free flow exhaust have also been added. I have many records, he owners manual, arts manual, nd an engine workshop manual. I also located the original spare tire. The original exhaust also comes with the car.
That terrific carfax is due to a milage discrepancy. The odometer is in kilometers, ame with many other Lamborghinis of the time including the Countach. I have a copy of the previous title which states it is in kilometers. My Dmv recorded it as miles. The local dmv did a correction stating it is in kilometers back on 02/15/11. The carfax is clean other than that.
