Description for Lamborghini Countach 1980 |
I purchased this twin turbo charged lamborghini replica/kit car off ebay earlier this year from an estate sale in Detroit, ichigan. I fell in love with the car (and still am!); however, y life style does not allow me to put any more time into the car other than than what I already have. So I am offering this opportunity for someone else to own this exactrendition of the original Lamborghini Countach 5000S. This is kit car is an exact replica of the Lamborghini produced by HiTech Mfg in Ontario back in the 1980's.I have 3 large binders filled with much, f not all the information on the build of this car from thebeginning of the build. It includes the original brochures andreceipts from HiTech Mfg as well as many diagrams, rints of the body, hassis, uspension and all related parts. There are many receipts, hotos, etters of documentation, ll parts break outs and correspondence letters. It also shows that when the original owner sold the car in 1992 to the owner of the estate in Detroit he hadwell over $40,000 invested in the car. It was stated when I purchased the car that it was last running and driving in 1997 prior to going into storage.I have put some time into getting it running but cannot devote anymore time into. I have cleaned out both stainless steel fuel tanks and put in a newfuel filter prior toattempting to start it. I was able to hear it run only for a short burst...and it sounded good! The carb will have to be removed and rebuilt since it didn't seem to be getting adequate fuel to the front fuel bowl and wouldn't idle. So, ith that being said, he car is being sold as a non-running car. So you must consider this in regards to having it shipped to (in the event you will not be picking it up personally). The engine is a Chevy 350 Twin Turbo Charged 010 highnickel block, ompetition cam 260H, olleycarburetor built to perform with the turbos. The turbo charges are Roto Masters. I believethere's information on them in the folders. All of the coolant pieces are done in stainless steel (tig welded). It has twin radiators with electric fans. Informationin the binders indicate the engine with all that has been done to it should produce 600HP.The rebuilt transaxle is a PANTERA ZF -2 5 Speed. It uses heavy dutyspicier axles and joints. The receipt shows that the original builder paid $2,200 for it back in the 80's. A rebuilt one today is selling for $8,000.The frame is an outstanding tubular space frame of which there are factory photos of in the binders. Thesuspension is fullyindependent with tubular A arms, orvette spindles, corvette brakes with stainless steel sleeves, uad coil over shocks in the rear and single coil over shocks in the front. The shocks themselves cost over $1,200 in the 80's according to the receipts. The steering is power rack and pinion. I believe with a cadillac steering column (Definitely a GM column for sure). The body is hand laid fiberglass build to exact Lamborghini specs. The body is in red primer and needs final prep work before it can be painted. It comes with complete headlight buckets and assemblies that need to be installed. The interior is patterned and built to an exact replica of the original. It is done in beautiful fine grade leather. There appears to be enough of the black leather hide to do the seats, ash, tc.The car comes with many new genuine Lamborghini parts.
