Description of 1964 Land Rover Other Series IIa

1964 Land Rover Series IIA Station Wagon with Safari top. 47,000 original miles. This vehicle has been either in Arizona or New Mexico so there is no rust on this vehicle. I purchased this vehicle in 2000 and have over the past 15 years completed or had completed the following items. All seals have been replaced, he vehicle was painted approximately five years ago. A new wiring harness was installed, arabolic leaf springs were installed as well as frame bushings. Wheel cylinders were replaced as well as brake shoes and lines. The vehicle runsabsolutely fine. Thevehicle is entirely original except for the following: Carburator is adelco, n electric fuel pump bypasses the manual pump, ut it is still on the truck, n electric fuelgauge was installed. The drive lines have had new u joints installed. The cab has all new window rubbers and sliding glass guides were replaced about 7 years ago. All the glass is original. Seats have been replaced with correct seats and redone. The steering box was refurbished. All wheels arepowder coated.
The entire truck was sanded inside and out and an etch primer was painted under the current paint. The tires are one year old BF goodrich off road tires. The headliner is in great shape and original.
Here are the flaws, small denton thepassenger front fender. The heater is not connected. The radiator shop described it as thin and likely to leak in the not to distant future, o I decided to re-reroute the flow of engine fluid to preserve the original round heater. The alternator/ generator is a replacement from an older vehicle and it works fine. Thegauges have been refurbished and all work fine. Too many things to list, ut if you have any specific questions, would be happy to answer them. I had the heads redone professionally by a motor shop. New valves, prings, ocker rod, ll done to original specifications. I've got the side seats for the back as well as a small "elephant" hide back rest for the centerfront seat.
This vehicle can and should be used as a daily driver. Be prepared to have conversations every time to stop and meet people in it. This vehicle is just fun to drive, ake your time and enjoy the smiles.
