The Rover sports it's original paint with lots of patina and character. The only portion that I know was repainted is the drivers side quarter panel.Black plate original California car rust free. The only rust is in the two small drain holes near the bottom of the rear crossmember, very common. This could be welded up and grinded down nicely for $150-200 if you wanted to restore the vehicle. It's very minor and I wanted to leave the car looking original and honest so I haven't touched it. The rest of the chassis and crossmember are completely solid including the bulkhead, doors and floors all solid. Nearly impossible to find these days especially in such an early series II Land Rover. Has less than 10,000 miles on the new engine and has been my daily driver for the last few years before and after the engine and transmission swap. The Rover still needs the oil pressure and engine temp gauge hooked up. The 200Tdi runs very cool and I never worried about it but this still needs to be done in the near future. I'm only selling to buy a 109 because I need more space and I can't afford two.
