Land Rover D90 have been widely produced and sold all over the world. Land Rovers most popular vehicle for many years. They are very well known for the great utility and off-road capabilities. They have always been unique in durable construction, with a all alloy body.

In 1994 Land Rover was able to bring in a limited number of Defender 90s (commonly abbreviated D90). The majority of these were the soft-top version, in either a full soft top or a "fastback" half soft top configuration. These Defenders 90s were quite different from their UK cousins. The NAS or North American Specification 90s had a 3.9 liter fuel injected V8 for 1994.

For 1994 they came in a variety of colors. They also came stock with alloy wheels, an AM/FM tape stereo, sway bars and more. The Defender 90 won 4 WHEELER OF THE YEAR in 1994.

This particular Defender 90 came from Arizona where it was in storage most of its life.

After getting this hard to find D90 to our shop we went through the complete fuel system and replace most all components. We fully serviced all the systems and gave it a full tune up and changed every fluid. The paint was very oxidized, we did try to polish it out, but it would quickly fade back. So we decided to do a complete exterior repaint of the factory Coniston Green. Five new BFG All Terrain tires were installed on the factory original wheel. They are 285/75/16, which is a slight plus size for a better look. It has an ARB front bumper and Warn winch installed. Lots of Hella lights and stainless wire tree gaurds are on this D90, all of which were very popular options when new. Also alloy diamond plate covers the tops of the front fenders. The Dash was crack, so we installed a new one from Rovers North. It has a Tuffy Box storage center console, with a locking cover and stereo enclosure.

While it is unfortunate that this Defender sat for such a long time, it did sit in Arizona, were it is very dry. It does not have any Rust, Corrosion or Rot. Very rare for these vehicles. All the panels are the originals. It does have the original soft top that came with the vehicle, but it is in poor condition. The prior owner installed lots of lights on the vehicle for the great “Tomb Raider” look. We also replaced the rear differential seal that leaked on to the parking brake shoes that we replaced. A new windshield was installed, new cap, rotor, plugs, and wires. The dash pod surrounds has some cracking, and the fog lights need to be re-wired. The seats are the originals. I did get a new set of rubber floor covings form Rovers North as well. This should be an excellent Defender for your mountain cabin for off road adventures, or the rig for the person who wants something different from all the SUV’s today that look the same.
