Description of 1991 Land Rover Defender

1991 Landrover Defender 90 with the 200tdi diesel engine. VIN number is SALLDVAF8HA700481. The Defender is legally imported from Italy, all import paperwork available and its titled in Virginia.
Brand new driver's side footwell installed at a cost of 650 dollars parts and labor. Panel was purchased from Paddocks. Also has new starter, ignition switch, indicator amber lenses, right side headlight bezel, hazard switch, new spare tire and gear knob.
The vehicle has been repainted at some point, paint looks very good but not perfect. A few spots of minor surface rust under the hood, under doors and on wheels. Driver's side footwell had rust so it was replaced with a new one at significant expense, passenger side footwell is fine, just a little surface rust which I sanded down. Door bottoms have some surface rust but they are ok. The paint on the doors is a bit matt looking, I am having the doors resprayed professionally in Landrover Alpine White (correct for this year) as this auction is running.
Frame is in great condition, no rust issues as this is an Italian truck and the frames are always good on Italian Defenders. Has a well proportioned bull bar and headlight/taillight grilles.
I think the doors could use some new check straps (inexpensive) and maybe hinges. Driver side seat has one tear and one little hole. I had ordered a new seat back cover for it but it turned out to not be an exact match, a new one should cost about 50 dollars. Overall it is a nice and straight unrestored Defender that is clean for its age. The 200 TDI starts immediately and the new starter turns quickly. Runs and drives fine.
Please expect normal wear and tear for age, I have made my best effort to describe the vehicle accurately but it is 25 years old and sold AS IS, with no warranties expressed or implied. I do not offer any kind of financing, so cleared funds only please.
This vehicle is for sale by a Virginia independent auto dealer. Title is free and clear in my dealer name. I can ship the car anywhere at buyer expense. Zero feedback bidders will need to contact me before bidding or bids will be cancelled. Reserve is around 17k, which given the recent investment in it is very reasonable and is probably on of the cheapest LHD 200 TDI Defenders available in the US, titled and cleared from customs.
