This car is a 1993 import from Europe. Ebay only allows imports to be listed as a pre 1980. Car is in Michigan, 20 minutes from Grand Rapids airport.This is not the best Defender you will find, it might be the cheapest LHD, 200 Tdi or 130 you will find in the USA.Read the ad and look at the pictures. Although not a beaty queen this can be a perfect daily runner. Originally a white crew cab but somewhere in its life it got the nice Epson green metallic finish. Car belonged to a Land Rover specialist in The Netherlands who used it as a company car for many years. He repaired and replaced many parts and kept it mechanically in good condition. That is not what can be said about the body. The car drives really good, engines fired right up after 6 weeks in a container. Car drives really good, steering, road handling, shifting, engine all as you might expect. No excesive smoke, no grinding gearbox, no bad suspension or steering and no oil leaks. The frame is in really good shape, newer rear cross member and absuletly no rot. The Good: - Very solid frame. Newer rear cross member, surface rust here and there. - nice seats, used but no rips except for a small one in the rear bench. - headliner ok but front part sagging, no rips and a little dirty - drives nice, engine good, shifting fine, brakes working. Nothing special, nothing bad. - Husky winch and winch bumper, don't know if winch is working, is not connected. - tires 80% - new shocks and springs in the back. - newer shocks and springs in the front - Webasto stationary heater, not sure if it is working. - very heavy duty side bars, almost new - new rotors on the front. The Bad; - all doors rusty, I would say beyond repair - foot wells rusty - rust on corners of bulkhead, really BAD - headliner sagging, front, I think it is an easy fix, not ripped. - some smaller dents in load bed, in and out side - aluminum oxidation on bed Only in combination with the car, I can offer the follow items: 1. Galvanized bulkhead $ 1,500 2. Set of 4 x 2012 Puma doors, complete assembly, very good and rust free. Set of 4 doors $ 3,250 3. Almost new bed, with hood $ 2,000 4. Brand new AC kit, direct fit $ 2,500 Items 2,3, and 4 will arrive here in MI in August. please don't email me for the parts, I am not selling these seperate, also when the cars sells without the parts. Car is in Michigan and can be seen an driven, I strongly encourage people to first come and look before buying this car. The rust on the bulkhead and doors but also the very good frame and mechanics doesn't make it a car for everybody. Car comes with clear MI title. I have more 130's.- One white with a TD engine in perfect condition. $ 67 K- A V8 automatic, totally rust free but need a paint job, $ 40 K- Blue 200Tdi, LHD in very good condtion but still in EUrope $ 40 K- another green one, also solid frame but bad doors and bulkhead $ 22 K |
