Description of 1953 Chevrolet Other Pickups

1953 Chevy 3100. Fresh build-less than 300 miles on engine. KILLER TRUCK!! SBC Engine is a 355 Flat-Top with OPEN-CHAMBERED Heads with Summit 1. 5 roller rockers. Runs well on pump gas. Cam is a 480 lift hydraulic Flat Tappet. High Volume Oil pump. Double roller timing chain and gear. Edelbrock Aluminum intake with HOLLEY 600 carb. HEI Distributor/New ACCEL 8mm wires. New Mini Starter. New Aluminum radiator so it stays at 180 all day long! Freshly re-built Turbo 350 tranny/B&M Ratchet Shift Kit with less than 100 miles on it. Truck has a JEGS 2500 to 3000 converter so you can HOT ROD if you want. Hedman headers into new Magna-Flows w/new 2. 5" double exhaust- sounds great when you put your foot in it!. This engine is tight!! Tranny oil cooler attached at radiator. New V-belts. 1989 Chevy S-10 chassis with pwr brakes(disc/drum) and pwr steering. New front shocks. recent rear shocks. Chassis and pickup bed were shortened 12". New rubber on front. ent. orner. and rear windows. Side windows are cracked and small crack in passenger windshield. I just purchased side window upper channels. etc. . hope to install soon. New matte clear coat on truck to keep patina fresh looking. Tubbed bed to fit 15x14 Centerline wheels with 29x15. 50 Mickey Thompson's. Remove and use 4" spacers for regular tires. Centerline wheels up front as well. Good tread all around. A lot of new sheet metal inside- floor and custom center console. Gauge cluster from an old Ford with new Sun-Pro gauges in console- Oil. Water. Volts. Fuel. Dyna-Mat under carpet to reduce noise and temperature. Dyna-Liner on roof of cab to reduce temperature. Console also has a 12volt power out to charge whatever. Army ammo box for storage between new bucket seats on adjustable risers. Summit after-market heater for cool weather. AC available- roll down the windows! Original speedo was working but is not steady recently. Head-lights have high-low beam. Just bought new universal turn-signal kit and I am planning to install. goes with truck if not completed. New LED front parking/turn lights a well as new LED rear lights. New chains on tailgate allow access to 15. 5 gal. RCI Aluminum fuel cell. Old tin floor on pick-up bed. No wipers. but can be installed. Recent front wheel alignment. Bunch of new parts not installed yet. Real head-turner!! Too many thumbs up to count!! Start it and drive it. This truck is very good mechanically!! There are some body rust- couple spots at bottom of doors. one 1 inch spot on drivers rocker panel. nbsp; bottom front of front fender driver-side behind bumper needs a patch. That is it!! Very little as compared to most trucks of this age. The rest of the sheet metal on this truck is solid!! The original builder scavenged a couple trucks to get the best sheet metal.
