Description of 1950 Lincoln Other Cosmopolitan

Up for bid is a 1950 Lincoln coupe that was donated to the AACA Museum in 2012with intentions tofollow up with funding to have it restored. Unfortunately the funding fell through and since we do not have the funds to restore it we are offering it up for bid. The car at this time DOES NOT RUN nor does it have any brakes besides the emergency brake. This is the same condition that it was donated so we are unsure if the drivetrain has any deficiencies or is ok. The new owner would have to put it back together and see what happens.

ENGINE: The engine turns freely but has the air cleaner removed for an unknown reason. The fuel tank is also out of the car and there is anotherfuel pumpin the trunk along withtwo water pumps that are either new or rebuilt. There is also an engine gasket set and two fan belts in the trunk.

INTERIOR: The interior is complete but is in need of a total restoration from the headliner to the seats and carpet it all needs to be done over. It is complete but in poor condition.

EXTERIOR: This is definitely where this car shines! Even though the paint is poor the car appears to very solid. There is a dent in the passengers rocker panel which is the biggest dent in the body. The chrome is in fair condition and it comes with a rechromed upper grille bar which is shown in the photos. According to the sales order, he dealership undercoated and Simonized the car prior to delivery.

The car comes with the original buyer's receipt from Lebanon Lincoln Mercury, he owner's manual, adio manual, wner's service certificate, ales brochureand some other papers from the dealer in 1950 when the car was purchased new. The original owner was a prominent Hershey area doctor and Renaissance man ( a newspaper article about him will be included in the sale). The car is located at the AACA Museum in Hershey Pennsylvania and can be viewed seven days a week between 9:00 amand 5:00 pm by appointment. There is a CLEAR Pennsylvania title and what parts that are shown are the only parts that come with the vehicle. The vehicle is being sold as/is where/is. Aswe have noted the car has sat for a while and will need a full restoration and is not drivable at this time.**************. ***************
