Description of 1979 Lincoln Continental

Runs, drives great. 400 CID C-6 Auto Transmission. Pink paint by Macco in 2008, garaged ever since. I have owned it since 2006. I’ve put less than 1,000 miles a year on it. I bought it from the original owner, an elderly lady. Odometer showing 98,000 original miles. Paint is good not show quality though. It has some chips in it and a couple small dings that you can only see from a certain angle. One tiny rust bubble under the plastic trim holding the vinyl top down. Good size rust hole in the right rear bumper end. Other than those two spots it’s rust free. All jams and under hood and trunk are pink too. I tore the trunk insulation out so the trunk floor is pale yellow (original color). After 12 hours or so the headlight covers lose vacuum and they open up. After sitting for more then 3-4 days I have to squirt some gas down the carb to get it to fire up immediately. A carb rebuild would fix that as well as the fast idle rich choke it has on start up. It runs great once its warmed up all lights turn signals work radio/8-track work. Horn cruise control, power antenna, and clock don’t work. I took the fuse out of the power seat because it was draining the battery dead every few days. Windows work too. 14 x 7 wire wheels have a lot of rust. But the tires are great. For some reason after I make a right turn the car will pull to the right until I make a left turn then it will drive straight. The driver seat needs reupholstered. The front passenger is in a little better shape but not by much. The back seat is good except for the very top where it is dry rotted and has several cracks. All interior lights work. I have never tried the heat or air to see if it works. I only drive it when the weather is very nice. All components are there and hooked up. I have been on several 200 mile trips with no problem. I would drive this car anywhere. It does have a small exhaust leak too. The back rear third of the headliner needs to be replaced. They had to cut it to install the vinyl top. Sold with bill of sale only. No title.
