Description of 1965 Lincoln Continental

The windows and top need some work. All of the motors are good in the top assembly and were tested by jumping the relays. The decklid screw motor. filler panel motor. hydraulic top motor and the header release motor all function perfectly. The windows in the rear work slowly and the front window motors are ok they both need work though. All the switches in the drivers door work fine. The only window switch that doesn't work is the one on the right rear door. The front seat motor works but the solenoid that distributes the power needs to be cleaned out and re-greased. The electrics are complete with all switches. relays and motors throughout. All the gauges work along with the power door locks. power antenna and the radio too. The leather is a little dry but it is still holding together with the only hole in the drivers seat upper bolster and can be seen in the dash picture. The body has had some places spotted in i'm guessing during the eighties. It retains about 90% of it's factory original paint. The right front fender has had some damage repaired and some very light rust work at the bottom. This kind of work is also present on the drivers fender . both rear doors and the drivers quarter. There is very little rust through anywhere on the car and no patchwork has ever been done. The trunk lid is the worst of it having some rotted spots. Behind the right front wheel on the bottom of the rocker panel there is a 5 inch by 1 inch hole. That is the only rust through on the bottom of this car. The floors and structural elements of the car are excellent. The doors all open and close nicely with excellent shut lines. Overall a very solid car with very minor rust issues. This car was purchased by an older gentleman in 1984 from the original owner. He was a pilot as I had mentioned earlier. and set out to make this car perfect. The car was in a shop that specializes in Continentals when he passed away in 2007. The bill from the shop is lost but the son told me the brand new stainless dual exhaust cost over $2300. It is factory correct and still looks new. His son inherited the car and used it until 2011 and then parked it under a cover. This is the only time this car was not garaged. I found the car and bought it last year. I'm sire there are things I've left out so please feel free to ask any questions. This vehicle is being sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. It can certainly be driven on to a car carrier in it's present condition. I recommend that any prospective buyers come see the car in person or send an agent for a pre-sale inspection. Please contact me and I will be happy to show the car at your convenience. The car is garaged in Medway. Massachusetts 02053.
